PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT

How do you manage people? Does it depend on who manages? Is there a management style in your company? How do you sustain this when a new manager joins you? How do new staff know what management style you operate? How do they know whether they would fit your culture?

Blue Star Human Resources can work with you to put in place a process for managing your people on a day to day basis. Your managers will need the skills to manage performance effectively. Your people will need to know what is expected of them. They will need to acquire new skills and experience as your business evolves.

Together we can:

  • ensure your managers and people know what is expected of them and how this will be implemented – your performance management process.
  • determine the period over which you will review performance - your performance management cycle.
  • ensure people are trained in people management skills including appraisals.
  • maintain consistency helping to avoiding grievances and claims of unfair treatment.
  • ensure that work and performance objectives are agreed with your people and that these are achievable and measurable.
  • ensure your people receive the necessary training and coaching to achieve their objectives.
  • ensure the performance management process is linked to your reward and recognition schemes.
  • manage poor performance and reward good performance.
  • have a common language in managing performance so everyone knows what is expected of them.
